Thallus pale fawn, thin, smooth, glossy. Ascomata conspicuous, black, subsessile to sessile, open, 0.25–0.50 mm wide, with a conspicuous thalline margin, in 2–5 mm wide clusters of intricately branched lirellae. Disc black, finely white-pruinose. Proper exciple absent. Hymenium 125–175 µm thick, not inspersed. Ascospores 8 per ascus, irregularly biseriate, pale brown, 6–8-locular, (20–) 28–36 × 7–9 µm. CHEMISTRY: Norstictic acid. |

Corticolous in eastern Qld and north-eastern N.S.W.; also in Brazil and Tanzania. | ||
